How fast is it?: Speeds have been reported up to 5Mbps in some areas. We have been advising users that the speed is around 5 - 6Mbps download and 640kbps upload for the full rate cable.

Do I have to subscribe to Cable TV to use Cable High Speed Internet?: No. How you watch television does not affect whether or not you can use our Cable High Speed Internet.

If I don't have a Cable TV subscription, do I pay extra for Internet?: Your monthly rate with IAW stays the same, whether you use Cable TV or not.

What if there is no cable in my house?: If there has never been cable TV service in your house, you may be subjected to an additional $70.00 fee for running the cable into your house.

What kind of computer should I have?: For best performance, a late model Windows computer or Mac is recommended. You require an 10BaseT or 100baseT Ethernet port or USB interface to connect to your modem.

So if I have a Cable TV coax cable in my house, I can get the Internet service?: Most of the areas that have Cable TV have Cable Internet. Since most does not mean "all" there may still be a few small spots that do not have Cable Internet.

What area does IAW Cable cover?: Niaraga Falls, Fort Erie, St Catharines, Welland, Fonthill, Port Robinson, Crystal Beach, Ridgeway & Stevensville.

How long does it take to get the service started?: When you pick up your modem, we will schedule an appointment for the Cable company to come to your house and set the service up. The appointment CANNOT be scheduled until the Cable Modem is picked up at our office. After you place an order our office will contact you and make arrangements with you to pick up your modem.
