What is IAW Accelerated Dial-up?: Internet Access - Worldwide will provide you with a small software program to install on your system. The next time you dial-up, your new program works with our system to compress the data being sent to you resulting in more data traveling over the same dial-up connection you had before.

Cut to the chase...how much is it?: There is a start-up fee of $24.99 plus GST. If you're currently on our Associate Dial-up package, there is NO monthly fee. If you're on the Jr. Associate package, the monthly cost is $2.00/month.

My friend is interested, but they're not an IAW subscriber. Can they get it?: Yes, they can. The startup fee is the same at $24.95 plus they would pay a yearly fee of $50.00 + GST.

How do I get it?: Call the office (905-714-1400) or email sales@iaw.com and tell them to sign you up. After we set you up, directions will be emailed to you on how to set everything up.

Is this High Speed Internet?: The service accelerates your dial-up connection by a factor of 2-6x. It is not considered "High Speed Internet" such as DSL or Cable.

What do you accelerate?: Your basic web traffic, graphics and email gets accelerated. Large files, streaming media and video are not accelerated. The accelerator does not help with transfer speeds of programs like KaZaa or WinMX.

What are the minimum system requirements for Accelerated Dial-Up?: The Accelerated Dial-up will work on Windows 95b, 98, 98SE, ME, NT 4.0, 2000, Windows XP & Vista. In order to speed up the web browsing, you must have at least Internet Explorer 4.0 or Netscape 4.0 or later. You should have at least a Pentium 200 with 64Meg RAM and 5 MB of disk space.

Mac Systems must be running a Power PC G3 processor at 333MHz, 64MB, RAM, 6MB Hard Drive Space with OSX 10.2 or later. Full web support available with the Safari Web Browser. Does not support email acceleration with this version. Coming soon.
