First Siege Encampment will focus on the events related to the first siege of the fort. This event is the most important 1812 event hosted in the state of Ohio. Improved siege works will separate the opposing forces as they recreate a garrison under siege. On both days tacticals will be related to pertinent events at Fort Meigs. Artillery units should call for further information regarding powder prior to the event. It is recommended that each soldier bring at least 200 rounds prepared. The site can no longer afford to give a powder bounty for men under arms so be prepared and bring your own. Lantern tours will occur Saturday evening and scenarios will relate to events of the first siege.
