We portray the United States 25th Regiment of Infantry. Our unit is out of Illinois and Wisconsin and bases itself from Green Bay. We were formed 6 years ago and call ourselves the "Grey Doom" after an original nickname.
Many call us the "Greyjackets" from the Battle of Chippawa when the British mistook the 25th for militia instead. They were issued grey in lieu of standard blue from a shortage of good cloth in 1814. We participated in the battles of Chippawa and Lundy's Lane and were known for gallantry. We re-enact during spring and summers and enjoy the spirit of our friends and good times.
